There is big news on the Caribbean island of Aruba this fall. The much anticipated Ritz-Carlton Aruba will open its doors on November 22, 2013, and I’m already checking availability for clients who want to be among the first guests to experience the hotel.
I’m a Ritz-Carlton STARS agent, which means my clients receive the following amenities when I make their arrangements at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba:
- Complimentary continental breakfast for two daily per room
- Personalized welcome amenity
- 4pm late check-out available upon request
This news is particularly exciting because Aruba has been historically overlooked by luxury travelers due to the lack of a five star option on the island. With the arrival of the Ritz, this problem is solved!
If you don’t know much about Aruba, it’s a fantastic Caribbean destination, offering many different water activities and some of the most international cuisine of all the islands due to the large expat population who have settled here. In addition to the typical Caribbean beach activities like snorkeling and diving, constant trade winds make Aruba one of the best destinations in the world for kite surfing, wind surfing and kite boarding. There is also wonderful shopping and some unexpected attractions, including an ostrich farm.
The Ritz-Carlton Aruba is located on the north side of Palm Beach, one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the Caribbean. Palm Beach is best known for is sugary white sand and calm, crystal clear water. Even better, the property is only 10 minutes from downtown Oranjestad, hub of the island’s shopping, dining and nightlife.
The hotel consists of 320 guest rooms, over 80% of which are either ocean view or ocean front. Private balconies, sumptuous bathrooms and chic Caribbean decor compliment every room, and four restaurants offering a wide array of cuisine are available for guests to enjoy. I plan to visit sometime during the first half of 2014 and look forward to sharing my review of the property and my photos when I return. In the meantime, here are two newly released photos of the room interiors.
Families will be pleased to know there’s a robust Ritz Kids activity program in place, and spa-goers are sure to enjoy to the 16,000 square foot spa and fitness center. There are also two beachfront pools (including a children’s pool with zero entry) and a 15,000 square foot, 24 hour casino, which will be home to the only Baccarat Table in Aruba.
Please contact me if you’d like additional information about the property or the island.
